New Beginnings

Hey hey readers, viewers, and fellow photographers, it is with excitement that I am making this blog post. If you follow our instagram you may have an idea of why I’m excited, but if not I will fill you in. It is with a great pleasure that I would like to formally announce I am now a Studio Assistant for Cleveland Sky Studios!

It has been about 8 years now that I’ve been a fan of the work of the lead photographer at CSS, Roderick, and after following his journey for so many years we are now working side-by-side! Rod, is a well-known Photographer, hailing from Cleveland, Ohio. After getting noticed for his work he was offered to start his professional photog career with Hallmark Institute of Photography. Once Rod completed his stint with the institute he accepted a job offer with Quirky inc, as Product Photographer. With the new position came a move to New York for work, where Rod simultaneously undertook multiple different jobs as an Studio Assistant for various big-name retailers. Fast forward to present times, Roderick has partnered with a relative of his to open their own Art and Photography Studio in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

After maintaining his studio for nearly a year, Rod felt it was time for an assistant at the studio. This is where I come in! After following Roderick’s journey over the years I took notice to his studio opening. After a few months of watching his instagram page I noticed the steady increase in his work and content, which led me to believe it was an appropriate time to offer my assistance. Rod met with me and we spoke about our expectations of one another and ourselves, and now we have what is developing into a strong collaboration. Random fun fact Rod and I are related through mutual family members (ask later and one of us may explain).
